This blog presents the NoBiPho research project funded by an ANR (French “Agence Nationale de la Recherche”) grant. The NoBiPho project, which began in January 2019, is examining the emergence of a “non-binary” paradigm in the field of gender. To do so, we focus on discourse and practices of people who do not identify strictly as either men or women and who choose to reveal (or not reveal) their non-binarity through their voice and speech.

The goal of this blog is to present the NoBiPho project to the general public as well as to an academic audience, to share our media and documentary resources on the subject, and to share our hypotheses and results.
